For England, the trip offers a shot at redemption after their early exit from the Champions Trophy in Pakistan, while kick-starting a grueling winter tour that includes trips to Australia, South Africa, and Bangladesh. World Test Championship ActionFollowing a three-day warm-up game in Islamabad from November 4–6, Sri Lanka and Pakistan will clash in two World Test Championship (WTC) fixtures. The first Test takes place in Rawalpindi from November 9–13, followed by the second in Lahore from November 17–21. Currently sitting eighth in the WTC standings, Pakistan will rely on these home conditions to turn their campaign around before concluding their cycle against New Zealand in March 2027.
